Complaints and Conduct Policy - Decision - 19 - 2025
The Police Complaints and Conduct System Statement of Policy replaces the previous version of this policy agreed in May 2024. It updates the policy to reflect several legislative changes around police misconduct hearings brought into law through The Police (Conduct) (Amendment) Regulations 2024. The decision also introduces a Persistent, Abusive or Unreasonable Contact Policy to provide a clearer more transparent explanation of the approach taken. This is informed by the IOPC’s Managing Unacceptable Service User contact policy.
