Police and Crime Panel

The Police and Crime Commissioner is overseen by the Suffolk Police and Crime Panel.

The Panel is made up of 11 local council members and two independent members. Their job is to make sure the PCC is doing their role properly and delivering the Police and Crime Plan. They also review complaints about the PCC and approve some staff appointments such as the Chief Constable and key roles in the PCC’s office.

Meetings are open to the public and usually held at the county council's Endeavour House in Ipswich.

You can find more details about the panel on the Suffolk County Council website.
