Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner’s Fund

Grants of £2,500 to £20,000 are available from the Police and Crime Commissioner's Fund for projects that reduce crime, tackle disorder or support victims. The fund is managed by Suffolk Community Foundation and typically opens four times a year.

A panel reviews grant applications.  The panel is comprised of the PCC, a member of the PCC’s team, and Chairs of the three Community Safety Partnerships (Ipswich, West Suffolk, East Suffolk).

You can find decision papers for each funding round on the PCC’s Decisions page.

For details and how to apply, visit the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Fund page on the Suffolk Community Foundation website.

Police Property Act Fund

Under the Police (Property) Act 1997, the Chief Constable may sell or dispose of property held by the police, provided certain conditions are met. Proceeds from these sales are placed into the Police Property Act Fund, which is used to support charitable purposes.

The Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable jointly approve donations to registered charities that apply to the fund, and can show the donation will deliver services or benefits clearly linked to Suffolk.
