The Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk (PCC), Tim Passmore, is encouraging
residents to attend his next public policing meeting in Ipswich next week, providing an
opportunity to discuss policing priorities and to ask questions.
The meeting will take place at 6.30pm on Wednesday 21 October at Suffolk Constabulary
Headquarters, Portal Avenue, Martlesham Heath, Ipswich.
The Commissioner will be joined by operational policing colleagues from Suffolk
Constabulary and will provide an update on current policing issues affecting the county
before taking questions from members of the public.
Over the past month, Mr Passmore has hosted a series of public meetings across Suffolk
in which he gave residents an opportunity to share their views on community safety and
policing.
The meetings have covered a range of local and national issues affecting policing with
residents able to ask questions directly to the Commissioner and operational police
leads.
Mr Passmore said: "These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for me to hear
directly from local people about the issues that matter most to them and for them to ask
questions of me and my policing colleagues.
"I would encourage anyone with an interest in policing and community safety to come
along and share their views.
"I am committed to listening to all perspectives and doing the very best I can for the
people and communities of Suffolk."
Residents who are unable to attend in person can also take part in an online meeting at
6pm on Wednesday 4 November via Microsoft Teams.
Anyone wishing to attend the online meeting should register by emailing
spcc@suffolk.police.uk. A joining link will be sent prior to the meeting.
