Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore is hosting a series of public meetings this autumn to talk about local policing and answer questions from the public.
“If you have a burning question about policing in the county, this is the opportunity to ask it,” said Tim Passmore.
“Policing is such an important public service, and it is imperative that the public have an opportunity to have their say. I do hope people will accept this invitation to come and find out more about policing in Suffolk.
“There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and make comments, if people wish to do so and I will be pleased to discuss any matter that arises. I will be joined by officers from the relevant community policing team to give a local insight.”
County Policing Commander, Chief Superintendent Janine Wratten said: “The public meetings are a great opportunity to listen to the community we serve and understand their current issues they wish to raise with us.
“Having an on-going dialogue with the people of Suffolk is vital to ensure we remain a relevant and responsive police force.
“The presence of my area commanders from the relevant community policing teams at the respective meetings will be able to give more local context if needed as well.”
Meetings will be held across the county through September and October with an on-line meeting in November.
MID SUFFOLK: Tuesday 22 September at The Mix, Stowmarket, IP14 1BB.
EAST AREA: Tuesday 29 September at Wherry Hotel, Bridge Road, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft NR32 3LN.
WEST AREA: Tuesday 13 October at The Racing Centre, Fred Archer Way, Newmarket, CB8 8NT.
SOUTH AREA: Wednesday 21 October at Police Headquarters, Portal Avenue, Martlesham, IP5 3QS.
All meetings start at 6.30pm, doors open 6pm. There is no need to book, just turn up on the evening.
