Services Funded in Suffolk for 2026/27

The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is committed to ensuring that victims of crime in Suffolk receive high‑quality, specialist support when they need it most. Below is an overview of the services commissioned for 2026/27, funded either directly by the PCC or through combined Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and PCC resources.

Services Funded by the PCC

Restorative Justice (RJ) Service – Extension 2026/27

The RJ service is jointly funded by Norfolk and Suffolk PCCs and is managed by the Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies Joint Justice Department.  Suffolk's  contribution: £68,861 for 2026/27.
RJ is a victim-focused process that facilitates communication between those harmed by crime or conflict and those responsible, supporting recovery and healing.

Domestic Abuse Next Steps Service (Standard Risk)

Initial 2‑year grant (1 Oct 2025 – 30 Sept 2027): £181,719
Provides targeted support to victims of standard‑risk domestic abuse, offering practical help, emotional support and pathways to safety.

Services Funded Jointly by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the PCC

Services for Victims of Crime 2025–26

Two‑year grant period: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2028 (Figures listed are for 2026/27. 2027/28 figures are yet to be confirmed).

Contracted Services

Suffolk Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) Service

Annual value: £690,000
Contract period: 1 Oct 2023 – 1 Oct 2026 (with a 2‑year extension option)

This service funds 15 IDVAs, including specialists for young people, male victims, minority communities and a dedicated Court IDVA. The service is supported through Ministry of Justice funding.


Norfolk and Suffolk Victim Care (NSVC) – New Contract Awarded to Catch22

Contract period: 1 Oct 2025 – 30 Sept 2028 (with option for 2‑year extension)
Cost to Suffolk PCC for initial 3‑year term: £824,272.73
Jointly funded with the PCC for Norfolk.
Catch22 will deliver a modern, trauma‑informed support service for victims of crime across both counties.

Support is free and confidential and is available to all victims and witnesses of crime, regardless of police involvement. Services are offered to adults, children, and young people, including guidance through the Criminal Justice System. The service accepts self-referrals, third party and police referrals with informed consent.
