A key part of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s role is to commission services that support the Constabulary in its work.
The PCC allocates £1.6m to address domestic abuse and sexual violence, this includes funding to support the Independent Domestic Violence Advisory (IDVA) service. The PCC also awards Crime and Disorder Reduction Grants to organisations providing services that will contribute to securing crime and disorder reduction in Suffolk and there is an annual £300K PCC Fund, managed by Suffolk Community Foundation, which funds voluntary sector initiatives which support the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan.
