The election of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Suffolk will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021.

A familiarisation session for prospective candidates will be delivered by the Chief Constable, Steve Jupp and Christopher Jackson, Chief Executive of the Office of the PCC. More detail of this event, provisionally set for the morning of March 15 2021, will be available closer to the time. To express an interest in the session please email spcc@suffolk.police.uk.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ELECTION PROCESS
Stephen Baker, the Chief Executive of East Suffolk Council, has once again been appointed as the Suffolk Police Area Returning Officer (PARO) for the PCC election on Thursday, 6 May 2021. He will have overall responsibility for co-ordinating and running the election across the whole of the county, although local Returning Officers at District/Borough level will have responsibility for overseeing arrangements in their areas.
Detail of the election process and the prospective candidates will be available on the PARO website www.suffolkparo.org.uk.
The Local Government Association postponed the virtual event which was due to take place on Tuesday 26 January 2021 entitled Local Elections 2021: Standing for election and campaigning in a COVID-19 context. A new date has not yet been set, details will be published on the LGA website once confirmed.
