The opportunity to make a difference to the community of Suffolk.” A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with the Suffolk Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) to join in the role of Chief Executive. The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) sets the strategic direction for policing and for crime and disorder reduction in Suffolk, outlined in his Police and Crime Plan. The Chief Executive is a statutory role which works with the PCC to enable the delivery of their vision and identified priorities set within this Plan. As well as providing operational leadership to a team of 11, the Chief Executive will hold the role of Monitoring Officer and has the responsibility to ensure that legal governance is adhered to. They will implement efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect of the PCC’s responsibilities and will build and maintain strong relationships across the Constabulary and a variety of national and local partners. This is a great opportunity to join an enthusiastic and established team and play a key role in shaping the next phase of development. The ideal candidate will have the desire and motivation to bring new ideas and thinking to mitigate challenges and create opportunities. They will be experienced in operating at a comparable leadership level and can demonstrate the ability to work with key stakeholders at a senior level.
