Independent Custody Visiting Scheme Annual Report 2015-16

Independent Custody Visitors are volunteers from the local community who visit the Police Investigation Centres in Suffolk on behalf of the PCC to provide an independent check on the rights and entitlements of detainees as well as the facilities in which they are held.

The Independent Custody Visiting Scheme Annual Report 2015-16 (PDF, 738KB) was considered and endorsed by the PCC’s Accountability and Performance Panel on Friday 10 June 2016. The PCC thanked the volunteers and was pleased to take reassurance from the report that the treatment of detained persons in Suffolk is fair and in accordance with the relevant legislation.
