PCC and DCC public engagement at the Hadleigh Show – 18 May 2019

Suffolk’s Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Kearton and Police and Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore are attending the Hadleigh Show on Saturday morning (May 18) to talk to people about policing in the area.

They will join the local Community Engagement Officer and members of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team who will also be there to answer local queries and to offer personal safety and crime reduction advice. For a bit of fun there will be a police vehicle, an opportunity for children to have their fingerprint taken and uniform for them to try on.

Tim Passmore said: “Public engagement is hugely important in this role and I make myself available to anyone who needs to speak to me through one-to-one surgeries and directly via e-mail and on the phone, but it is equally important to get out and about to meet people.

“I do hope people anyone attending the show on Saturday will accept this invite to come and find out more about policing. Rachel and I will be pleased to discuss any matter that arises.”

This is the first in a series of public engagement events across the county which will involve the PCC, the Chief Constable, Steve Jupp and the Deputy Chief Constable, Rachel Kearton.  Details of future events will be announced in due course.

The show is held at Holbecks Park to the west of the town centre. The Constabulary will be there all day; the PCC and Deputy Chief Constable will attend from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
